Wrekcondite Clothing - Meet the Maker
Meet Amy, the force behind Wreckondite Clothing and Accessories.
How did your business get its start?
My inspiration for starting my business was pretty random and came as I was nearing the end of my degree in exercise science. I wanted to start a business with a collection of artists and like minded individuals. I noticed a lack of alternative styles available to people. I wanted to make these styles more available to folks and I realized that I was surrounded by creative individuals to help make this collective well rounded.
What sparks your creativity most?
What sparks my creativity and inspires me the most is discovering artists with similar styles, and brainstorming with all the artists in the collective!
What's the best thing about running your own business? The worst?
The best thing about running my own business is that I’m free to do what I enjoy! The worst thing is that since I make everything by myself, I don’t have a lot of time. But I’d rather have it this way than having to use a time clock!
What kind of music do you listen to while you create?
Psychobilly and old country really inspires me. I’m a big fan of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash.
How has your business most helped you and/or your family grow?
My business has allowed me to be connected to different people. My family has benefited from this business by allowing me to stay home and spend time with them!
Of all the products you create, which is your very favorite? Which is a customer favorite?
My favorite things to make are the baby body suits. The designs are silly and are sure to get some laughs.
What are you looking forward to about the Market?
I love the Gypsy markets because I always meet new people, the vibes are always positive and I always have fun!
Amy joined Gypsy Farmhouse Market at several markets last year and we always love having her. She is always positive and gracious. We look forward to seeing Amy again at the market at the Arapahoe County Fair this July!
